The “Theater des Westens” is decorated with approximately 1.000 sqm of “mesh” nearly 10.000 ccm3 of ink have been spread during the printing process. ICHI BAN used the digital UV-printing technique for this print to achieve maximum quality.
These 1.000 sqm have been composed of 16 panels each 78,50 sqm in size. The panels have been welded and sewn together. 250 linear meters of substrate were necessary to manufacture the poster.
This ultra large format poster consists of 3 individual posters. A belt of material with the measurements 0.50 m by 10.50 m connects the front side poster , which is 42 meters wide and divided vertically. The format of the second poster is 26 m wide and 15,70 m high. To connect the panels the high-frequency welding technique has been employed and has been mounted as a whole.
The posters were installed on a building scaffold, additionally, every 2.50 m steel rope was used to mount the poster.
